MASTER CLASS WITH EDITOR EMAD MAHER

A master class was held for filmmaking students with Mohamed Nader with editor Emad Maher on Friday 13th of April.

About Emad Maher:
Emad Maher studied filmmaking at the Filmmaking Workshop of the Jesuits Film School in Alexandria.

He then worked as a DOP, Assistant Director, and a Film Editor for many indie short films, most notably Dry Hot Summers. In 2009, Maher directed his first short film Neon Lamp, which won the Golden Award at the short films competition within the Sakia Film Festival of the El Sawy Culturewheel and the First Award at the Independent Short Film Festival of the Goethe Institute in Cairo. In 2012, he wrote and directed his second short Zakaria based on the novel by the Egyptian Nobel laureate Naguib Mahfouz. Among the most recognized films that Maher was part of as a Film Editor are the films Villa 69 and Ali, The Goat and Ibrahim that participated in the Dubai International Film Festival 2016.
